The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson lands with a hook. Aki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Purple Aki has been cut.
Nice uppercut there from Simpson.
Simpson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Simpson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Aki shoots in and bounces Simpson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Aki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

It looks like OJ Simpson has been cut.
Aki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Simpson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Aki fails with a takedown attempt.
Aki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Simpson swivels and escapes.
Simpson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Simpson cracks Aki with an open hand slap.
Simpson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Simpson scores with the left hand. Aki knows he should have avoided that one.

Aki is rocked!

Simpson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Aki sprawling to the canvas! Aki rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Simpson finish him?!
Oh Aki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
OJ Simpson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aki walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Simpson swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
