Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Diego Calamaro (ranked 4298 p4p, 25636 weight class) and Cucey Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cucey Ramirez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Calamaro.
Ramirez drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Calamaro defends it well.

Ramirez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Calamaro sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up with Calamaro, looking for a takedown. Ramirez pushes Calamaro against the cage but Calamaro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Calamaro tries to keep at a distance but Ramirez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ramirez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Calamaro's guard.

Calamaro has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ramirez connects with a nice short shot to Calamaro's temple.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Calamaro is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ramirez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ramirez's back!

Ramirez is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
