Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Tuesday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tuesday comes to the cage accompanied by Yesterday Don't Mean Shit. Josh Pulver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Pulver!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuesday keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Pulver closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pulver lands in his opponent's guard.

Pulver drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tuesday looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tuesday looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tuesday!
Pulver is trying to work for a sweep but Tuesday has mounted him!
Pulver manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Pulver tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Tuesday has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Tuesday avoids the attempt from Pulver to control.
Pulver gets back to half guard.
Pulver is looking for a sweep. Tuesday is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tuesday moves nicely into side control.
Pulver tries to improve position but can't.
Pulver wants to control but Tuesday postures up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pulver is not content to let Tuesday control the position.
Pulver tries to buck Tuesday off but Tuesday is having none of it.
Pulver is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Pulver is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tuesday is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Pulver can't escape the position.
Tuesday will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pulver is looking for a sweep. Tuesday is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tuesday blocks the strikes from Pulver.

Tuesday wants to take a breather but Pulver is having none of it.

Pulver is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Tuesday pulls his head out easily.
Tuesday trying to control the action but Pulver is working from the bottom.
Pulver wants to improve his position but Tuesday is controlling well.
Tuesday stalling.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pulver is looking for a sweep. Tuesday is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Tuesday misses with a few strikes there.
Tuesday displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Pulver is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tuesday's half guard.

Pulver is trying to work for a kimura but Tuesday is defending well.
Tuesday is doing well to control the position and prevent Pulver from advancing to side control.

Tuesday regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Pulver.
Tuesday keeping full guard, as Pulver tries to pass.
Tuesday is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pulver stands and throws Tuesday's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pulver goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tuesday rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pulver's guard! Nice work there by Tuesday!
Pulver is breathing heavily.

Pulver is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tuesday wants to control from the top but Pulver keeps moving.

Pulver looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tuesday trying to control but Pulver is working from the bottom.

Pulver throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tuesday uses it to pass to side control.
Pulver is looking for a sweep.
Tuesday remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Tuesday seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pulver for as long as he can get away with.

Pulver tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tuesday controls the position from side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pulver is not content to let Tuesday control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Teddy Tuesday will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Tuesday fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A clash of legs there as Tuesday blocks the low kick.
A combination from Tuesday does no damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pulver fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tuesday is out of range.
Pulver looks to score with a jab to the body but Tuesday is just out of range.
No joy there for Tuesday, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tuesday takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Pulver swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Pulver looks for a takedown but Tuesday sprawls well.
Pulver goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pulver tries a head kick but it misses.
Tuesday moves in looking to clinch but Pulver pushes him off.
Pulver scores with a one two! Tuesday had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
A big right from Pulver misses.
Pulver ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tuesday moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tuesday misses with a combination
and Pulver counters with a leg kick.
Tuesday doesn't manage to clinch there - Pulver circles away.
Pulver throws a chopping leg kick but Tuesday manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Pulver drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Josh Pulver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pulver has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
