Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Santos!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Summers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Santos tries to clinch there but Summers circles away.
Summers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Santos sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Santos misses with a body kick.
Summers swats away the attempt to clinch by Santos.
Santos tries to clinch but Summers is having none of it.
Santos tries to clinch up but Summers circles away and keeps his distance.
Santos tries to clinch there but Summers circles away.
Santos throws a right hand that Summers ducks under and follows up with a left that Summers also avoids with ease.
The fight stays on the outside here - Santos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Summers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos tries to clinch but Summers is having none of it.
Santos moves in looking to clinch but Summers pushes him off.
Santos wants to clinch up but Summers keeps it at a distance.
Santos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Summers keeps the fight on the outside.
Santos doesn't manage to clinch there - Summers circles away.
Nice defenses there by Summers.
Santos tries to clinch but Summers moves out of range.
Santos is looking to clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Santos.
Santos fails to land with a series of punches.
Santos tries to clinch up but Summers circles away and keeps his distance.
Brian Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Summers closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Summers lands in his opponent's guard.

Santos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Summers defends well.
Santos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Summers lands a couple of elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Summers is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Summers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Summers drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Summers off! Summers jumps back into Santos's guard.

Santos had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Summers is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Santos Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Summers's back instead.

Santos working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Santos is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Santos looks gassed!

Santos looking to break Summers's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Summers remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Santos will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Summers manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Santos misses with a head kick.

Summers misses the jab.
Santos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Summers gets a takedown into half guard.

Summers in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Santos tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Summers!
