PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alain Braque (ranked 4153 p4p, 4097 weight class) and Joe Giseppi (ranked 0 p4p, 429 weight class). Braque comes to the cage accompanied by Enchanted Forest. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Giseppi!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Giseppi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Braque quickly recovers to half guard.
Giseppi is trying to control. Braque wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Braque preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Braque is doing well to control the position and prevent Giseppi from advancing to side control.

Giseppi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Braque.

Braque throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Giseppi's waist but Giseppi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Braque off to one side.

Braque pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Braque goes for an armbar but Giseppi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Giseppi.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Braque is pushing Giseppi up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Giseppi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Braque swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Braque throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Braque looks to score with a jab to the body but Giseppi is just out of range.

Giseppi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Braque tries to avoid it but Giseppi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Braque to the ground. Braque escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Braque is on top in guard.


Braque thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Braque accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Giseppi closes the distance and clinches up with Braque, looking for a takedown. Giseppi pushes Braque against the cage but Braque circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Giseppi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Braque as he jumps to the side.
