Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chen Mei (ranked 2487 p4p, 3407 weight class) and Max Gripton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mei comes to the cage accompanied by Uzicko Kolo. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Gripton!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mei lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mei uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Gripton closes the distance but Mei moves to the side
and Mei counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gripton thinking.
Mei takes a swing at Gripton's ribcage but misses.
Gripton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gripton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mei.
Mei misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gripton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mei listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Gripton tries to clinch but Mei is having none of it.

Gripton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gripton blocks a head kick by Mei.
Gripton wants to counter the offense by Mei and move into the clinch position.

We've been told by Mei's head coaches at Crnogorski Tigrovi that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A big right from Mei misses.
Mei lands the left hand.

Gripton doesn't manage to clinch there - Mei circles away.
Mei is looking to land body kicks.

enabling Mei to counter with a crisp jab.
Mei walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Gripton drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mei swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Gripton's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chen Mei!
Chen Mei decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
