Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Coryn Cobb (ranked 4087 p4p, 4823 weight class) and Dean Kipp (ranked 0 p4p, 278 weight class). Dean Kipp has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Coryn Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dean Kipp!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cobb.
Cobb knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kipp on the ground.

Cobb stands up.
Kipp moves in looking to clinch but Cobb pushes him off.
Kipp shoots for a double leg takedown but Cobb sprawls well. He's pushed Kipp's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A solid body kick from Kipp.
Cobb is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Cobb tries to sprawl but Kipp drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Cobb is trying to get back to full guard.
Cobb avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kipp.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kipp lands a nice short elbow.

Cobb keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kipp has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kipp has eaten all the pies!
Cobb is refusing to be controlled, as Kipp sits in half guard.
Kipp prevents Cobb from improving his position.
Cobb is doing well to control the position and prevent Kipp from advancing to side control.
Kipp trying to control the action but Cobb is working from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kipp is trying to work for a kimura but Cobb is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cobb regains full guard. Nicely done.

Kipp slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Danga de danga de dang - Kipp scores with a four punch combination!

Cobb fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kipp sprawls well initially but Cobb persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kipp is looking to improve his position.
Cobb thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kipp makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kipp.

Kipp is working an open guard so Cobb takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Cobb scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kipp wants to sweep here but Cobb controlling him for the moment.
Cobb will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cobb has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kipp throws a combination. Cobb tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kipp fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Cobb drives through with a takedown into Kipp's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Kipp has his feet on Cobb's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Cobb manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kipp on his heels. He'll look to pass Kipp's guard now, I'm sure.

As Cobb backs off Kipp throws a huge counter combo but Cobb manages to avoid it all.

Kipp lands a head kick!
Kipp tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cobb defends well and Kipp ends up having to push Cobb into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Coryn Cobb is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cobb shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Kipp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kipp is breathing heavily.
Cobb takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dean Kipp has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cobb thows a huge punch but Kipp dodges it nicely.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cobb looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kipp keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kipp circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kipp counters with a one-two to the body.
A combination from Cobb does no damage.
Kipp shoots in but no luck this time.
Cobb appears to be looking for a big counter.

Cobb throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kipp tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cobb is in Kipp's guard.

Kipp not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Coryn Cobb will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kipp shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cobb pinned against the cage. Cobb gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Cobb shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cobb showed some decent athleticism there.

Kipp has one foot on Cobb's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cobb thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kipp's head.
Kipp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cobb slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cobb passes into side control, despite Kipp's attempt to control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cobb misses with the ground and pound.
Kipp stops Cobb from passing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Kipp's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cobb with the ground and pound but Kipp regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Cobb is taking a breather. Kipp says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cobb's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Cobb throwing shots but Kipp is blocking nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kipp connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cobb. Cobb circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Cobb stuffs the takedown.
Cobb takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kipp lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Cobb shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kipp but Kipp pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Cobb. No joy for Kipp on that attempt.
Coryn Cobb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Kipp.
Kipp takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kipp jabs Cobb to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kipp looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cobb is fending him off so far but Kipp persists. Nope, Cobb circles away and we're back to standing.
A jab from Kipp does it's job there.
Cobb wants to clinch up but Kipp keeps it at a distance.
Kipp was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Kipp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cobb seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Kipp slips under a jab.
Cobb tries to clinch but Kipp moves away
and Kipp counters with a nice body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cobb fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cobb misses with the combination.
Kipp looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Cobb forces Kipp back against the cage and clinches.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dean Kipp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kipp has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
