PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taekn Arrms (ranked 3327 p4p, 1994 weight class) and Raphael De La Ghetto (ranked 330 p4p, 208 weight class). De La Ghetto has chosen Fresh Prince - Geoffrey Poet as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raphael De La Ghetto!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arrms fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Arrms closes the distance and clinches up with De La Ghetto, looking for a takedown. Arrms pushes De La Ghetto against the cage but De La Ghetto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from De La Ghetto! But no joy.
Arrms shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. De La Ghetto defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taekn Arrms. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Arrms connects with a nice short shot to De La Ghetto's temple.

De La Ghetto wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Arrms is now in half guard.
Arrms working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
De La Ghetto is looking for a sweep. Arrms is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Arrms will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Arrms looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks De La Ghetto with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
De La Ghetto wants to get back to full guard.
Arrms seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but De La Ghetto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Arrms tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Arrms has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
De La Ghetto is looking to regain half guard here but Arrms keeps moving and retains side control.
De La Ghetto is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Arrms off and has taken his back!
Arrms looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

De La Ghetto slaps away a takedown attempt from Arrms, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A nice side step and De La Ghetto releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Arrms stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Arrms wants it to stay on the feet.
