Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alden Horn (ranked 3175 p4p, 22214 weight class) and Gustavo Figueroa (ranked 208 p4p, 0 weight class). Figueroa has chosen Gangsta, Gangsta - NWA as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alden Horn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustavo Figueroa!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horn has his takedown stuffed
and Figueroa counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Horn!
Figueroa stands up and beckons Horn to his feet.
Horn dives in and grabs Figueroa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Figueroa pushes down on Horn's head and hops out.
Horn tries for a takedown but Figueroa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alden Horn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Figueroa dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fighters circling - Figueroa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Horn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Figueroa throws a looping overhand right but Horn ducks down to avoid it.

A nice right hand lands inside from Figueroa.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Figueroa.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Figueroa walks away with a smile on his face. Horn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Horn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Figueroa has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

Horn is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Figueroa dives into side control.

Horn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Horn tries to get out of the position.
Figueroa decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Gustavo Figueroa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Figueroa lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Horn backs up against the cage.
Horn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Figueroa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Horn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice takedown defense from Figueroa. No joy for Horn on that attempt.
Horn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Figueroa defends it nicely.
Horn checks the leg kick.
Figueroa's corner calls for a 1-2. Figueroa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Figueroa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Horn is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
BOOM! Figueroa lands a beautiful left hook that drops Horn. Horn tries to recover but Figueroa is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Horn lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gustavo Figueroa!
Gustavo Figueroa decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
