Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Baroza (ranked 566 p4p, 722 weight class) and Pope Callixtus (ranked 47 p4p, 59 weight class). Jorge Baroza could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pope Callixtus's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Callixtus has managed to clinch.
Callixtus is working for takedown but Baroza is calmly controlling the position for now.
Callixtus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Baroza pulls his leg out and moves away.
Baroza keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Callixtus.
Callixtus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Baroza to counter with a crisp jab.
Jorge Baroza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pope Callixtus.

Callixtus looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Baroza definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Baroza wants to control but Callixtus is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Callixtus seems to be working for a kimura but Baroza defends the submission attempt.

Callixtus looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Callixtus is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Baroza sees it coming and defends easily.
Baroza is trying is best to control the position here.
Callixtus wants to control but Baroza is keeping him busy.

Callixtus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Baroza is just riding it out for now. Callixtus eventually gives up the hold.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Callixtus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Callixtus is working for a submission of some sort.
Baroza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baroza is not content to let Callixtus control the position.

Baroza won't allow Callixtus to pass to mount.
Callixtus is trying to control the action in half guard but Baroza is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Callixtus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Baroza on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Baroza tries to get out of the position.

Callixtus seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Baroza is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
