and MacLennan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Farias is not content to let MacLennan control the position.
MacLennan wants to stand but Farias has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Farias dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Farias will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Farias drives through and clinches with MacLennan against the cage.
MacLennan goes for a takedown attempt but Farias pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Farias decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Farias decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Farias drops to a knee looking for a takedown but MacLennan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Farias has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics MacLennan uses from the top position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as MacLennan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
