The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AI looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bedorf is fending him off so far but AI persists. Nope, Bedorf circles away and we're back to standing.

AI jumps guard and drags Bedorf to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
AI is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
AI is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

AI has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bedorf can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
AI is adopting a defensive guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if AI can do anything to dispel that myth.

AI is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bedorf defends well.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bedorf tries to sprawl but AI drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

AI wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bedorf is trying to control but can't.

Oooooh!!! AI has knocked Bedorf down with a huge combo! AI steps away and waves a wobbly Bedorf back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Oh Bedorf is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
AI misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bedorf drops down looking for a counter takedown but AI sprawls and moves away.

AI moves into range and clinches up with Bedorf.
AI tries to pull guard but Bedorf forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Bedorf jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as AI walks away with a smile on his face. Bedorf gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
AI lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Bedorf falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
