Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Bologna (ranked 5531 p4p, 25151 weight class) and Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michal Materla will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bologna drives through and clinches with Materla against the cage.

Materla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bologna's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Materla counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bologna thinking.
Materla shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bologna sprawls well. Bologna wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Materla gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bologna will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Bologna will probably get the nod.

Bologna has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Materla is on him like a limpet, forcing Bologna back against the cage.

Materla is pressed up against the cage. Bologna has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Materla down to the mat. Materla avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Materla goes for a double leg but Bologna avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bologna continues to drive forward.

Materla has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bologna has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bologna looking to sit in guard and control but Materla gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bologna might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
