Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Faizul Rengazi (ranked 24837 p4p, 5909 weight class) and Owen Tooogood (ranked 0 p4p, 447 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rengazi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to TRIPLE V x LADY A - Ð¡Ð ÐªÐ‘Ð¡ÐšÐ ÐœÐÐ¥ÐÐ›Ð. Owen Tooogood has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Owen Tooogood!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tooogood defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rengazi.

Tooogood shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rengazi is trying to defend but Tooogood finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rengazi is looking for a sweep. Tooogood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rengazi has his hands clasped together around Tooogood's back. He's all about the action.

Rengazi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tooogood stacks Rengazi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tooogood!

Tooogood lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rengazi down.
Tooogood lands a decent elbow from side control.
Rengazi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tooogood is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Rengazi has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Tooogood escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Tooogood!

Rengazi is letting Tooogood control him for a moment.

Tooogood has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rengazi's face.
Rengazi regains half guard.
Tooogood looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rengazi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tooogood is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Rengazi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tooogood passes to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tooogood wants to control the pace but Rengazi is squirming around nicely.
Tooogood is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Rengazi is looking to improve his position but Tooogood isn't that keen on the idea.

Rengazi wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
You can see the frustration on Rengazi's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rengazi is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tooogood gets his way!
Tooogood looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Tooogood is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Rengazi with him. Rengazi is trying to defend but Tooogood has an arm under the chin now! Rengazi grimaces and is forced to tap out!
