Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rob Degenhault (ranked 4159 p4p, 4082 weight class) and Calvin Fishcake (ranked 0 p4p, 370 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fishcake forces Degenhault back against the cage and clinches.

Fishcake throws out a leg kick but Degenhault moves out of range and Fishcake only half commits.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Degenhault.

Degenhault changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fishcake tries to avoid it but Degenhault manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fishcake to the ground. Fishcake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Degenhault has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Fishcake after a bit of a struggle.

Fishcake pulls Degenhault in close to his closed guard and prevents Degenhault from doing any damage or advancing position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fishcake is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fishcake got a little sloppy there for a moment and Degenhault has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fishcake has managed to get both his arms back between Degenhault's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rob Degenhault.
I think Fishcake has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
