Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Morales (ranked 4218 p4p, 4122 weight class) and Ryan Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 415 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Wheeler!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morales misses with a head kick.
Michael Morales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wheeler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Morales manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wheeler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
It looked like Morales wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wheeler shoots in for a double leg but Morales sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wheeler closes the distance and clinches up with Morales, looking for a takedown. Wheeler pushes Morales against the cage but Morales circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wheeler throws a sloppy head kick and Morales moves out of range easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wheeler is on top in guard.

Wheeler sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morales's guard.

Wheeler decides to stand and escape the position.
Morales shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wheeler pinned against the cage. Wheeler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wheeler circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Morales lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
