Hughes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Wiener really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hughes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wiener tries to lock up and control but Hughes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wiener can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hughes tries to get the hooks in deep but Wiener pushed the leg off.

Wiener stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hughes has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wiener should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hughes has tightened it up now! Wiener should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
