Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between D Von Dudley (ranked 4111 p4p, 2222 weight class) and Kiniiii Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiniiii Kong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, D Von Dudley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kiniiii Kong!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Dudley misses with a shot to the body

and Kong counters with a big uppercut that knocks Dudley off his feet! Kong dives into side control looking to finish!

Dudley is rocked!

It looks like D Von Dudley has been cut.
Kong postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Oh Dudley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dudley is trying to get back to half guard.
Dudley seems to have got his legs back now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dudley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dudley somewhat.

Dudley feints and as Kong raises his hands in defense, Dudley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kong wants to stand up but Dudley is controlling him.
Dudley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kong wants to get back to his feet but Dudley is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dudley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kong keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dudley.
As Dudley backs off Kong throws a huge counter combo but Dudley manages to avoid it all.
We've been informed that Kong has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Dudley looks for a takedown but Kong sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kong! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dudley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Dudley seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kong for as long as he can get away with.

Kong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Kong takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kiniiii Kong seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Dudley works Kong's body with a nice hook.
Dudley connects with a jab.
Dudley misses the shot to the body.
Kong lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Nice straight punches there by Dudley. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dudley.
Kong takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dudley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kong manages to avoid it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dudley.
Kong is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Dudley tests Kong's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dudley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Dudley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

and Dudley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dudley shoots in and drives through. Kong sprawls well.

Dudley tries for a takedown but Kong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kong is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Dudley with a body shot.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for D Von Dudley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dudley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kong was well out of range. Poor timing from Dudley.
Kong looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Kong closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
D Von Dudley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dudley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dudley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to D Von Dudley.
I think Dudley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
