The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
nickelson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Husten throws a body punch but nickelson moves out of range.
Husten throws a series of strikes that have nickelson backpedaling.
Husten gets caught flat footed, as nickelson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Husten has his foot on nickelson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. nickelson works his way back into a safe position though.
Husten is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
nickelson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Husten had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. nickelson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Husten Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take nickelson's back instead.

nickelson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Husten is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
