The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cesar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Cesar tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Schwartz drops back looking for a leg! Cesar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cesar manages to kick Schwartz off! Schwartz jumps back into Cesar's guard.
Cesar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Schwartz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cesar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schwartz.

Cesar looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Schwartz has picked Cesar up and slammed him! Cesar can't keep hold of the triangle and Schwartz manages to pass to side control!

Schwartz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cesar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Schwartz has hold of Cesar's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cesar tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Schwartz cranks the arm and Cesar screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cesar, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
