PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danga Damage (ranked 4163 p4p, 4172 weight class) and Shrimp Lobster (ranked 427 p4p, 429 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danga Damage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shrimp Lobster!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lobster gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Damage to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Damage keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lobster's head.
Damage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Damage working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lobster's head.

It looks like Shrimp Lobster has been cut.
Damage postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Damage working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

That has opened up Shrimp Lobster's cut even more.
Lobster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Damage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Damage stands up over Lobster, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Damage gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lobster goes for a double leg but Damage avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Damage continues to drive forward.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lobster tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Damage just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lobster is trying to break the clinch but Damage is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lobster looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Damage is trying to trip Lobster. He has hold of a leg but Lobster is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Damage persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Damage lands a couple of digs.

The cut above Shrimp Lobster's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Damage content to stall in guard here.

Lobster throws his legs up looking for a submission but Damage uses it to pass to side control.
Lobster tries to buck Damage off but Damage is having none of it.
Damage in side control lands a decent elbow.

Shrimp Lobster's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shrimp Lobster's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Danga Damage!
