Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eja Igwe!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igwe throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Chavez misses with a hook. Igwe ducked under it nicely.
Igwe moves out of range of the strikes.
Igwe looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Igwe tries to land a front kick but Chavez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Chavez throws a hook but Igwe avoids it easily.

Eduardo Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chavez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Igwe throws the left hand but Chavez avoids the punch easily.

A frustrated look appears on Igwe's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Chavez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Igwe gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Chavez throws a punch but it's blocked by Igwe.

Igwe lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Chavez throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Igwe to counter with a crisp jab.
Igwe throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Chavez tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Igwe counter with a right hand.

Igwe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chavez misses with an uppercut. Igwe saw that one coming.
Igwe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Igwe throws a wild body kick that Chavez sees coming a mile off.
Igwe throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chavez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Igwe.

Chavez ducks under a wild hook from Igwe.
Chavez tries to clinch up but Igwe circles away and keeps his distance.
Chavez loads up on a big right hand but Igwe slips the punch.
Igwe swats away the attempt to clinch by Chavez.

Igwe gets tackled into the cage by Chavez. Chavez maintains the clinch.
Chavez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Igwe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Chavez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chavez walks into a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chavez wants to slow Igwe down by chopping away at his legs.
Igwe throws a sloppy head kick and Chavez moves out of range easily.
Igwe checks a low kick from Chavez.
Chavez tries to clinch but Igwe is having none of it.
Chavez closes the distance and clinches.
Igwe tries to circle away but Chavez has him pinned against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Chavez is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chavez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Igwe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Igwe closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Chavez! Igwe dives in looking to finish! Chavez is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
