Jenkins comes to the cage accompanied by Hostile Mass. Jackson has chosen Tupac -Ambitionz Az A Ridah as his entrance music. Rick Jenkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins gets the takedown into side control.
Jenkins trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Jenkins tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jackson's legs.
Jenkins passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jackson!
Jenkins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jenkins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jenkins throwing strikes here but Jackson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Jenkins has hold of Jackson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jackson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.
Jenkins won't let Jackson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You get the feeling that Jackson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Jackson wants to hold on but Jenkins pushes him away.
Jenkins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A nice elbow there by Jenkins.
Jenkins lands a big shot there that rocks Jackson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Jenkins's attempts to control the action.
Jackson can't escape the position.
Jenkins mounts Jackson! Really nice guard pass there!
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jenkins lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Jenkins lands a heavy elbow.
Jenkins lands a big shot there that rocks Jackson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Jenkins jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jackson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jackson is trying to get back to half guard.
Jackson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Jenkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
Jackson prevents Jenkins from improving position.
You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jenkins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Jenkins dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jackson stops a takedown attempt from Jenkins.
Jackson misses with an elbow strike.
Jenkins jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Jenkins around his waist. Jenkins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jenkins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jackson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jenkins's brow.
Jackson is stalling here.
Jackson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jenkins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jenkins keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins prevents Jackson from breaking the clinch.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Jenkins is controlling the position.
Jenkins wants to stall.

Jenkins drags the fight down to the ground.

Jenkins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jenkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jenkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jackson wants to stand but Jenkins is controlling his posture from full guard.

Jackson is posturing up here but Jenkins has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jackson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jackson has to tap! Slick submission there by Jenkins!
