Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Toal (ranked 24236 p4p, 23828 weight class) and Jason Nolan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Toal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Nolan!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nolan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Nolan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Toal is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Nolan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Toal is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Nolan tries to move into full mount but can't pass Toal's legs.

Nolan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Toal is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nolan is controlling him well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Toal pushes Nolan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nolan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Toal parries the strikes from Nolan easily there. Nolan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Toal to escape.

Toal could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Toal ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nolan moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Toal. No joy for Nolan on that attempt.
Nolan misses with a takedown attempt - Toal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nolan shoots in for a takedown but Toal shows good takedown defense.

Nolan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nolan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Toal misses with an uppercut. Nolan saw that one coming.
Nolan fails with a takedown attempt.
Toal has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nolan finds it's way round the side to connect with Toal's head.
Toal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nolan.

No joy there for Toal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nolan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nolan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Toal to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Toal shrugs it off.

Nolan looking to break Toal's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Toal remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Nolan will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Some bone on bone action there as Nolan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Nolan shoots for a takedown but Toal saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Toal moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Toal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Toal wants it to stay on the feet.
Toal went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Nolan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Toal tries to avoid it but Nolan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Toal to the ground. Toal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nolan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Toal after a bit of a struggle.

As Toal backs off Nolan throws a huge counter combo but Toal manages to avoid it all.

Nolan jumps guard but Toal turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Toal has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Nolan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Toal avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Toal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Toal lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
