PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Baum (ranked 3121 p4p, 2910 weight class) and Randy Hamilton (ranked 353 p4p, 329 weight class). Baum comes to the cage accompanied by My Dick - Mickey Avalon. Randy Hamilton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton moves out of range as Baum strikes.
Hamilton takes one to the chin there.
Hamilton with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Baum to score with a decent uppercut.
Baum throws a lazy right hand but Hamilton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hamilton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Baum has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme Fighting Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Baum cracks Hamilton with a right hand to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baum throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Hamilton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baum won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baum is looking for a sweep.
Hamilton has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Xtreme Fighting Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Hamilton looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hamilton throws an elbow but Baum slips to the side and avoids it well.

Hamilton tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hamilton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hamilton is trying to get an arm triangle but Baum is defending well.
Hamilton passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Baum!

Hamilton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Baum is surviving well by controlling Hamilton's body position as best he can.

Hamilton fails to move to back control.
Hamilton unloads with some shots from mount but Baum bucks and avoids them well.

Hamilton is working for a rear naked choke. Baum is not defending it well and Hamilton has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Baum refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Baum's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Randy Hamilton!
