The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Auston Matthews will probably get the nod.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matthews got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kramer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Matthews has managed to get both his arms back between Kramer's legs - danger averted.

Matthews connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kramer. Kramer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Matthews lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kramer dives in for a single leg takedown but Matthews sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Kramer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matthews pinned against the cage. Matthews gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Auston Matthews is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kramer closes the distance and clinches up with Matthews, looking for a takedown. Kramer pushes Matthews against the cage but Matthews circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Matthews went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Auston Matthews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gwynn Kramer.

Matthews thuds his right hand into Kramer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Matthews fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kramer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kramer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Matthews is fending him off so far but Kramer persists. Nope, Matthews circles away and we're back to standing.

Kramer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kramer is refusing to be controlled, as Matthews sits in half guard.
Kramer wants to control but Matthews is keeping busy.

Auston Matthews showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Matthews, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
