Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Darkins (ranked 5314 p4p, 4573 weight class) and Leonhard Klopstock (ranked 0 p4p, 184 weight class). Darkins comes to the cage accompanied by Throne. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darrell Darkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leonhard Klopstock!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darkins feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Klopstocks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Darkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Klopstock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Darkins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Darkins moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Leonhard Klopstock has been cut.
Darkins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Klopstock swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Klopstock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Darkins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Klopstock walks into a stiff left hand from Darkins.
Darkins has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bang Bang Fitness in the buildup to the fight.

Klopstock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Darkins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Klopstock, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darkins won't allow Klopstock to sweep him here.

Darkins is taking a breather. Klopstock says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Klopstock is trying to control the action in half guard but Darkins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Darkins gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Darkins lands a damaging elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Klopstock turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Klopstock is trying to get an arm triangle but Darkins is defending well.
The referee asks Klopstock politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Klopstock prefers to stall for the moment though.
Darkins tries to buck Klopstock off but Klopstock is having none of it.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Klopstock is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Darkins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Darkins lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Klopstock backs up against the cage.
Klopstock moves forwards but Darkins connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Klopstock tries to score a power double leg takedown but Darkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Klopstock somewhat.
Klopstock fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Darkins avoids it really well and circles away.

Klopstock shoots in looking for a takedown but Darkins manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Klopstock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Darkins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Klopstock was covering up waiting for the punch and Darkins finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I would just about give that final round to Leonhard Klopstock.
