Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Narcelio Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Dos Anjos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luiz Dos Anjos is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sosa.
Sosa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dos Anjos as he jumps to the side.

Sosa gets caught flat footed, as Dos Anjos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sosa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dos Anjos is one step ahead there.

Dos Anjos is taking a breather. Sosa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sosa tries to roll over but Dos Anjos keeps him under control.
Dos Anjos seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
I looks like Dos Anjos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Dos Anjos is looking for a kimura but Sosa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dos Anjos to get the leverage.
Sosa is not content to let Dos Anjos control the position.
Dos Anjos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sosa wants to control but Dos Anjos is keeping busy.
Sosa is trying to get back to full guard.
Sosa trying to control from the bottom.
Dos Anjos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sosa defending well though.

Dos Anjos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sosa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dos Anjos.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sosa is trying to maintain the position but Dos Anjos is very close to passing his half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dos Anjos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dos Anjos swings around for an armbar but Sosa sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dos Anjos's guard.

Dos Anjos is looking for a triangle here but Sosa uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Sosa is looking to take a break and control but Dos Anjos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sosa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Dos Anjos can't do much from the bottom here.

Dos Anjos is doing well to control the position and prevent Sosa from advancing to side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sosa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dos Anjos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sosa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dos Anjos controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sosa is looking to stand back up but Dos Anjos counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sosa.
