Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Gatherer (ranked 2988 p4p, 3659 weight class) and Chigger Digger (ranked 0 p4p, 403 weight class). Chigger Digger will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Gatherer dives in for a single leg takedown but Digger sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gatherer blocks an uppercut.
Digger swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nice body punch from Digger.

Gatherer jumps guard and drags Digger to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Gatherer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gatherer tries to get out of the position.

Gatherer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Digger defends it easily.

Gatherer has his foot on Digger's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Digger works his way back into a safe position though.

Digger wants to get up but he can't break Gatherer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Gatherer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Digger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Digger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, if Gatherer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Gatherer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Digger, who protects the arm well.

Gatherer has hold of Digger's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Digger tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gatherer cranks the arm and Digger screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Digger, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
