PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uriel Ibarra (ranked 2109 p4p, 25620 weight class) and Serial Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Serial Sandoval!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ibarra rushes Sandoval and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Ibarra.
Ibarra lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A short body shot lands from Ibarra as the two fighters clinch.
Ibarra lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A nice left hand lands by Ibarra.
Ibarra pushes Sandoval back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
A right hand to the body from Ibarra.
Sandoval looks winded!
Ibarra pushes Sandoval back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ibarra creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ibarra softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ibarra works on Sandoval's body with a couple of short punches.
Sandoval is trying to break the clinch but Ibarra has him pressed against the cage.
Ibarra presses Sandoval against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ibarra is working Sandoval over against the cage.

Ibarra drops Sandoval onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Sandoval is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Sandoval is rocked!

It looks like Serial Sandoval has been cut.
Ibarra creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sandoval's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sandoval drops to his knees and Ibarra pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Uriel Ibarra!
