Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between jon mikel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and alex hoke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hoke stuffs the takedown.
mikel shoots for a double leg takedown but hoke sprawls well. He's pushed mikel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

mikel scores a takedown into full mount!
hoke keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
mikel throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
mikel looking to ground and pound but hoke is blocking nicely.
hoke tries to lock up and control but mikel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
hoke has decided that throwing punches whilst being mounted is the best he can manage just now.

hoke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. mikel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
mikel stops hoke from standing up.
hoke looks gassed!
mikel with a flurry of punches that miss.
mikel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. hoke swivels though and keeps the full guard.

mikelis looking to pass into half guard but hoke pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now hoke is in guard.

hoke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
hoke wants to control from the top but mikel keeps moving.

mikel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in hoke's guard.
hoke is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

mikel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

hoke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in mikel's guard.
