PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Jonasson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koko Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonasson comes into the arena with It's the FINAL countdown blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonasson is looking to clinch.
Bang lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jonasson will feel that in the morning.
Jonasson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bang shoots in and bounces Jonasson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jonasson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bang on the ground.
Jonasson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jonasson keeping moving, preventing Bang from controlling successfully.

Jonasson working for submissions but it's allowed Bang to get to half guard.
Bang throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Bang landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bang is pressing down on Jonasson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jonasson is holding on for now.
Jonasson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Bang not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Jonasson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bang is working away from the top position though.
Bang keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Bang is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jonasson swivels and escapes.

Jonasson clinches with his opponent.
Bang works on Jonasson's body with a couple of short punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bang jumps guard but Jonasson stands there with Bang around his waist. Bang gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bang lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jonasson backwards.
Jonasson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bang being controlled against the cage.
Jonasson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bang gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jonasson stalling.
Bang is looking to break free of the clinch but Jonasson has double underhooks.
Bang tries to pull guard but Jonasson holds him up against the cage and eventually Bang drops back down to his feet.
Alexander Jonasson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koko Bang.
Jonasson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Bang ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bang no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jonasson wants to stand but Bang is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jonasson wants to control from the top but Bang keeps moving.

Jonassonis looking to pass into half guard but Bang pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bang is in guard.
Bang has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jonasson is proving hard to escape from.
Bang trying to control but Jonasson is working from the bottom.

Bang is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jonasson wants to get back to his feet but Bang is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jonasson looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bang looks for a takedown but Jonasson sprawls well.
Alexander Jonasson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bang looks gassed!
Bang tries to clinch up
and Jonasson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jonasson misses with a two punch combination.

Jonasson rushes Bang and presses him up against the cage.
Jonasson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bang tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jonasson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bang blocks it with crossed arms.

Jonasson manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koko Bang dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Both fighters circling a little - Bang finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Jonasson cracks Bang with an open hand slap.
Bang misses with a takedown
enabling Jonasson to counter with a crisp jab.
A punch lands to the side of Bang 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Bang is rocked!
Bang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jonasson.
Bang is still on wobbly legs! Can Jonasson finish him?

Jonasson moves into range and clinches up with Bang.

Jonasson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jonasson has closed the distance and engaged Bang in a clinch.
Jonasson creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bang's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bang drops to his knees and Jonasson pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Jonasson!
