Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Salcedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powers comes into the arena with Black Betty blaring out of the sound system. Kenny Powers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Salcedo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Salcedo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Powers was covering up waiting for the punch and Salcedo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Powers keeping moving, preventing Salcedo from controlling successfully.
Salcedo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Salcedo forces his way into half guard.
Salcedo wants to control but Powers is keeping him busy.
Salcedo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Salcedo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Powers wants to improve his position but Salcedo is controlling well.
Powers throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Salcedo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Salcedo uses his free foot to push down on Powers's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Powers.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Powers tries to reverse the position but Salcedo maintains control.
Salcedo lands a big elbow.
Salcedo looking to control but Powers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Powers takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

It looks like Kenny Powers has been cut.
Salcedo breaks from Powers's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Salcedo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Powers throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Salcedo is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kenny Powers's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Powers in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Powers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salcedo on the ground.
Salcedo lands a nice shot to the head.

Jeez, Kenny Powers's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kenny Powers's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
