Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Wilson da Silva has been cut.
da Silva avoids the head kick by Carter.

da Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carter napping and manages to drive through into side control!

da Silva is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carter has escaped the position, nice work there.

da Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carter, who protects the arm well.
Carter prevents da Silva from improving position.

da Silva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Carter is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

da Silva tries for a kimura but Carter is defending well.
Carter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but da Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
da Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working.

Carter is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, da Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Carter tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

da Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carter avoids it really well and circles away.
da Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carter throws out the jab.
No luck for da Silva with that takedown attempt.
Carter throws a jab but it's blocked by da Silva.
Carter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carter throws the kick towards the body but da Silva avoids it.
A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target.
da Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carter throws a series of punches but da Silva moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Carter as da Silva shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilson da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

da Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carter.
Calvin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carter throws a jab but it's blocked by da Silva.
da Silva avoids the head kick by Carter.
Carter looks to land a combination. da Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

da Silva clinches up with Carter and pushes him back against the cage.
da Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carter walks away with a smile on his face. da Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
da Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carter.

da Silva on the wrong end of a nice jab.
da Silva is breathing heavily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Carter!

Wilson da Silva's cut is getting worse.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed da Silva momentarily.

da Silva is rocked!
Carter scores with a hook to the body. da Silva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Carter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but da Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
da Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carter as he jumps to the side.
The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Oh da Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wilson da Silva's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Carter feints a jab and as da Silva dips his head, Carter unleashes a brutal head kick that catches da Silva right on the jaw! Timbeeer! da Silva falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Carter smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
