Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Bitnis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chrisi Kay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chrisi Kay was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kay gets the takedown into side control.
Kay wants to control but Bitnis is keeping him busy.
Kay working away.

Kay stands up.
Bitnis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bitnis throws a series of punches but Kay moves out of range.
Bitnis misses with a body shot.
Bitnis slips a straight right by Kay.
John Bitnis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bitnis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bitnis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Kay closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bitnis is not content to let Kay control the position.
Kay keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Kay seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bitnis keeps working.
Bitnis manages to get to full guard.

Kay throwing strikes but missing.
Kay pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bitnis is keeping the position for now.
Bitnis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Bitnis controls Kay momentarily but Kay frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bitnis gets caught flat footed, as Kay shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kay stands and throws Bitnis's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kay is looking to take a break and control but Bitnis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bitnis tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kay presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Bitnis can't escape the position.

Bitnis tries to reverse the position but Kay maintains control.

Bitnis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bitnis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kay was well out of range. Poor timing from Bitnis.
Kay avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kay shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bitnis as he jumps to the side.
Kay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kay tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bitnis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kay shoots in for a double leg but Bitnis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bitnis blocks a head kick by Kay.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kay walks into a straight right hand from Bitnis.

It looks like Chrisi Kay has been cut.
Bitnis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bitnis misses with a leg kick.
Kay shoots in for a takedown but Bitnis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
John Bitnis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chrisi Kay.
Bitnis thuds a left hand into Kay's body.

Bitnis misses with the combination.
Bitnis scores with a hook to the body. Kay takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bitnis misses the jab.
Bitnis tries to bum rush Kay with a series of wild strikes but Kay uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kay ducks under a wild hook from Bitnis.
Kay looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bitnis is fending him off so far but Kay persists. Nope, Bitnis circles away and we're back to standing.
Bitnis fails to land with a series of punches.

Kay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bitnis sprawls well initially but Kay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kay is stalling here. Bitnis is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kay seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bitnis has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Bitnis is working to tighten is grip on Kay's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kay has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bitnis is really squeezing tight and eventually Kay passes out! Bitnis breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
