Hernadez has chosen Ya se Acabo - Pitbull as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Cesar Hernadez enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernadez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Herring sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hernadez somewhat.

Hernadez dives in and grabs Herring's left leg, looking for a takedown. Herring pushes down on Hernadez's head and hops out.

Herring wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hernadez has him pressed against the cage.
Hernadez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hernadez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Herring just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hernadez jumps guard and drags Herring to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Herring throws a strike but Hernadez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Herring keeping moving, preventing Hernadez from controlling successfully.

Herring wants to stand but Hernadez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Hernadez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hernadez is trying to control the action in half guard but Herring is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
