Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joey Path (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and martin lagermo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Path comes to the cage accompanied by Robert Tepper - No Easy Way Out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Path moves out of range as lagermo throws a body kick.
Path bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Horrible takedown by Path or perhaps it was just good defense by lagermo which made him look bad.
lagermo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
lagermo swats away the attempt to clinch by Path.
Path fails in his attempt to clinch.
lagermo throws a head kick that misses.
Some wild striking there from Path.
Path changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. lagermo tries to avoid it but Path manages to keep hold of a leg and drag lagermo to the ground. lagermo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Path shoots in for a takedown but lagermo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
lagermo goes for an armbar but Path turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Path.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Path postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Path tries to free his leg and advance position but lagermo is retaining full guard.
Path has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
lagermo is looking to stand up but Path isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Path feints and as lagermo raises his hands in defense, Path changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Path slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Path is looking to take a break and control but lagermo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Path looking to break lagermo's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. lagermo remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Path will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Path is trying to stick to lagermo's back but lagermo is turning into Path. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Path's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by lagermo.

lagermo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Path manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now lagermo has Path in his guard.

Path is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and lagermo defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Path is looking to take a break and control but lagermo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Path is just content to waste time from the top position. lagermo takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Path drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Path jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Path closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Path lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
