PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Urho Paakku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronn Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paakku is looking to clinch but Moss is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Paakku looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Paakku throws a right and a left that Moss avoids nicely.
Moss shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Paakku misses with a wild combination.

Paakku closes the distance and pushes Moss back into the cage.
Paakku digs a right hand into Moss's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Moss's gas tank.

Paakku breaks from the clinch.
Paakku tries to clinch there but Moss circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Paakku tries to close the distance and clinch but Moss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Paakku closes the distance and clinches.
Moss tries for a takedown but Paakku manages to get underhooks.

Paakku breaks the clinch.
Moss shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Paakku defends it nicely.
Urho Paakku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronn Moss.
Moss circles away from the clinch attempt.
Paakku is looking to clinch but Moss is avoiding it.

Paakku has had enough of the clinch but Moss keeps him there for the moment.

Paakku pivots, looking for a leg kick but Moss is out of range and Paakku settles back down.

Paakku clinches.
Moss has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Paakku is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Paakku breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Paakku wants to clinch up but Moss keeps it at a distance.
Paakku tries to clinch up but Moss circles away and keeps his distance.

Paakku clinches.
Paakku makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Paakku is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Moss is defending well for now.

Paakku lands a left hand that snaps the head of Moss backwards.
Paakku throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mosss head.

Moss is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Paakku can't fight it off and eventually Moss manages to take the fight to the floor. Paakku looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Moss is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Paakku is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Paakku has escaped and now he's on top!

Paakku has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moss is proving hard to escape from.
