The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
padilla tries to close the distance and clinch but Sandiego swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
padilla misses with a kick to the body.
Sandiego fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
padilla will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
padilla goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
padilla looks to land a combination but Sandiego avoids it well.
adolfo padilla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
padilla is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sandiego shoots for a takedown but padilla saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sandiego swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
