The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roc gets a takedown into half guard.
pablo is looking for a sweep. Roc is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

pablo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

pablo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Roc, up you get!

pablo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roc. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Let's hope that pablo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

pablo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Roc does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
pablo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Roc was well out of range. Poor timing from pablo.
