The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundy is looking to clinch but Hends is avoiding it.
Bundy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bundy moves in looking to clinch but Hends pushes him off.
Bundy tries to clinch but Hends is having none of it.
Bundy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bundy misses with a kick to the body.
Bundy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hends moves out of range of the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bundy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hends seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bundy for as long as he can get away with.
Hends really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
