Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leslie Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leslie Wolf will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leslie Wolf!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Austin but Austin pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Austin drives through with a takedown into guard.
Austin won't allow Wolf to sweep him here.
Wolf has Austin pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wolf keeping moving, preventing Austin from controlling successfully.

Wolf is working an open guard so Austin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wolf avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Austin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Austin tries to clinch up but Wolf circles away and keeps his distance.
Wolf misses with a takedown attempt - Austin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wolf tries to close the distance and clinch but Austin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

and Austin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jeff Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leslie Wolf.

Austin drives through and clinches with Wolf against the cage.
Austin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Wolf drops down looking for an ankle pick but Austin pulls his leg out and moves away.

Austin pushes Wolf up against the cage in a clinch.
Wolf letting Austin take a breather here.
Wolf should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Austin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wolf pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Austin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Wolf's defenses.

Austin manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Wolf does no damage.

Austin takes the fight into the clinch.
Austin is stalling here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wolf fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Austin slowing the pace effectively.
Wolf is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Wolf fails to pull guard.
Knees in the clinch landing for Austin.

Austin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Austin clinches.
Wolf jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Austin walks away with a smile on his face. Wolf gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wolf circles away from the clinch attempt.

Austin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Austin is working Wolf over against the cage.
Wolf looks gassed!
Wolf fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A knee to the head by Austin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
With the fighters up against the cage, Wolf throws an elbow but misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Austin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Austin. Wolf shrugs it off though.

Austin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Austin decides to stand back up.

Austin moves into the clinch successfully.
Wolf takes a knee to the side of the body.

Austin breaks from the clinch.
Austin wants to clinch.

Austin gets a clinch.
Wolf tries to pull guard but Austin holds him up against the cage and eventually Wolf drops back down to his feet.
Nice elbow from Austin.

Austin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Austin drives through and clinches with Wolf against the cage.
Wolf is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Austin is keeping busy.
Wolf wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wolf tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Austin smiles and moves away.
Wolf fails with the takedown

and Austin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wolf won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wolf is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Austin's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Austin! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Wolf has tapped! This one is allllll over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jeff Austin!
