Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Peto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Widowmaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peto comes to the cage accompanied by Sabaton - Talvisota . Dante Widowmaker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dante Widowmaker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Widowmaker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peto to the mat! Peto manages to get full guard.

Peto manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Widowmaker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Peto regains half guard.
Peto pushes Widowmaker off looking to stand but Widowmaker dives back in and keeps control.
Peto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Peto wants to stand and escape but Widowmaker is having none of it.
Peto is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Peto has his foot on Widowmaker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Widowmaker works his way back into a safe position though.

Peto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Widowmaker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Widowmaker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Peto wants to sweep here but Widowmaker controlling him for the moment.

Peto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Widowmaker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Widowmaker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Widowmaker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Peto drives through and clinches with Widowmaker against the cage.

Peto has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Widowmaker regains guard immediately.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Peto wants to stand but Widowmaker is controlling his posture from full guard.

Peto gets to his feet. Widowmaker looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Peto is looking to clinch but Widowmaker is avoiding it.

Peto clinches up with Widowmaker and pushes him back against the cage.
Nice elbow from Peto.
Peto lands an elbow inside that Widowmaker shrugs off.

Peto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Widowmaker tries for a takedown but Peto sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Widowmaker tries to keep at a distance but Peto has taken the fight into the clinch.

Peto lands with a light punch inside.
Peto lands a hook to the side of the head.
A short right from Peto.

Peto manages to pull guard.

Peto kicks Widowmaker off and gets to his feet.
Peto tries to close the distance and clinch but Widowmaker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Peto clinches up with Widowmaker and pushes him back against the cage.
Peto lands with a short shot to the head.
Still in the clinch, Peto scores with a nice short uppercut.

Peto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Peto drives through and clinches with Widowmaker against the cage.

Peto pulls guard effortlessly.

Peto is looking for a triangle here but Widowmaker uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Peto is trying to get back to his feet.
Peto is breathing heavily.

Widowmaker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peto, who protects the arm well.
Peto pushes Widowmaker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Widowmaker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Peto takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Peto is pushing Widowmaker's head away, looking to escape. Widowmaker manages to hold on to the position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Peto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Peto leaves Widowmaker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Peto jabs Widowmaker right on the nose. Widowmaker blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Dante Widowmaker has been cut.
Peto is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Widowmaker circles away from the clinch attempt.

Peto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Widowmaker, pushing him back against the cage.
Peto lands a nice uppercut.
Peto lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Widowmaker backwards.
Peto pushes Widowmaker back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Peto.
Peto lands a nice elbow.
Peto scores with a shot to the side of Widowmaker's head.
Widowmaker is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Peto lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Widowmaker's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Widowmaker is rocked!
Peto lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Widowmaker to his knees! Peto keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
