Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herb Tarlic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herb Tarlic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarlic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away.
Coleman tries to clinch up but Tarlic circles away and keeps his distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Coleman.
Tarlic is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Coleman has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Tarlic is looking to reverse the position.
Coleman throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Tarlic sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Tarlic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Coleman blocks the strikes from Tarlic.
Coleman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Tarlic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Coleman is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Tarlic has managed to free his arm - good work.

Tarlic is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Coleman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Coleman's back!
Tarlic is working the ground and pound. Can Coleman escape?

Tarlic goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Coleman escapes and is now in half guard on top.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tarlic tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tarlic is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Coleman dodges the punch combination from Tarlic.

Coleman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Coleman lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarlic trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Tarlic throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Coleman escapes and throws Tarlic's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Tarlic is breathing heavily.
Tarlic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Coleman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Coleman tries for a kimura but Tarlic is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Tarlic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Tarlic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Coleman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Coleman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Tarlic tries to bench press Coleman off him but Coleman keeps the position.
Tarlic wants to control but Coleman postures up.
Tarlic gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Coleman is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Coleman wants to control the pace but Tarlic is squirming around nicely.

Tarlic is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Coleman looking to control but Tarlic is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Coleman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tarlic's face.
Coleman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tarlic is looking to escape.
Coleman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brandon Coleman dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Coleman is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Coleman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tarlic moves away.
A telegraphed right hand from Tarlic misses the target.
Coleman shoots for a double leg takedown but Tarlic sprawls well. He's pushed Coleman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tarlic moves out of range of the strikes.
Coleman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Coleman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Coleman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Coleman fails with a takedown attempt.
Tarlic tries to bum rush Coleman with a series of wild strikes but Coleman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Left hook, right uppercut from Coleman.
Coleman tries to clinch up.
Coleman looks to score with a jab to the body but Tarlic is just out of range.

A left lands for Coleman.
Tarlic misses with a low kick.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tarlic napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Coleman passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Tarlic!
Coleman looking to finish Tarlic with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tarlic!
Coleman is breathing heavily.
Tarlic is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tarlic is squirming around, avoiding Coleman's attempts to control the action.
Tarlic tries to lock up and control but Coleman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman lands with some strikes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tarlic can't escape the position.
Coleman wants to control the pace but Tarlic is squirming around nicely.

Coleman connects with a bit shot that sees Tarlic covering up! More strikes from Coleman and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Coleman is our winner by TKO!
