Johnson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Move by Thousand Foot Krutch. Greg Johnson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to joe blow's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, joe blow!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! blow looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. blow looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from blow!

blow decides to stand back up. blow steps back and let's Johnson get back to his feet.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. blow tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag blow to the ground. blow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

blow drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
blow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
blow stays in close to Johnson's body and controls the position.

Johnson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Johnson working for submissions but it's allowed blow to get to half guard.
Johnson is trying to control but can't.
blow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Johnson has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, blow escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by blow!

Johnson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but blow is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

joe blow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from blow does no damage.

blow darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

blow seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

blow moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Johnson.
Johnson tries to bench press blow off him but blow keeps the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
blow lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Johnson is trying to get back to full guard.
blow content to control rather than advance.

Johnson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
blow goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

blow shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Oh Johnson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

blow trying to mount his opponent but Johnson defends it.

Well blow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
