Jericho comes to the ring accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - Warriors Code. Ricky Jericho could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jacky Blue's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue tries a head kick but it misses.
Blue thows a body shot but no joy.
Blue with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Blue scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Jericho fails with a takedown attempt.
Jericho checks a leg kick nicely.
Jericho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blue as he jumps to the side.
Jericho tries to clinch up but Blue circles away and keeps his distance.

Blue really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jericho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Jericho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blue doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blue manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jericho is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jericho wants to sweep here but Blue controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blue accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Blue misses with a low kick.
Blue throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blue throws the kick towards the body but Jericho avoids it.
Jericho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blue's waist but Blue gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jericho off to one side.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Jericho will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Blue throws a head kick that half lands.
Blue throws a low kick, looking for Jericho's leg but Jericho calmly moves out of range.
Blue tries to clinch but Jericho is having none of it.
Blue tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jericho swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blue can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jericho is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Blue still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Blue has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Jericho dives in and grabs Blue's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blue pushes down on Jericho's head and hops out.

Blue is pressed up against the ropes. Jericho has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Blue down to the mat. Blue avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jericho takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
