Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Honcho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Kingsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honcho kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Beastie Boys- Sabotage. Mike Honcho has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Freddy Kingsley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsley scores with a jab.

Honcho clinches.
Kingsley tries to break the clinch but Honcho is controlling the position.

Honcho lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
BOOM! Honcho connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Honcho breaks from Kingsley's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kingsley is in a horrible position here. Honcho smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Honcho dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Honcho moves into range and clinches up with Kingsley.

Kingsley pulls guard.
Honcho is looking to work some ground and pound but Kingsley has wrist control.

Honcho has gone for a leg lock! Kingsley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Honcho's guard.

Honcho is working an open guard so Kingsley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kingsley looks to score with a jab to the body but Honcho is just out of range.

Honcho fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kingsley, pushing him back against the cage.

Honcho keeps control of Kingsley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kingsley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kingsley is pressed up against the cage. Honcho has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kingsley down to the mat. Kingsley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Honcho takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Honcho closes the distance and clinches up with Kingsley, looking for a takedown. Honcho pushes Kingsley against the cage but Kingsley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kingsley throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Kingsley throws a strike but Honcho avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Kingsley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Honcho kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Honcho is pulling down on Kingsley's head. It's preventing any offense from Kingsley, at least for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Honcho kicks Kingsley off and gets to his feet.

Freddy Kingsley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Honcho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kingsley's waist but Kingsley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Honcho off to one side.
Honcho lands a two punch combo.
Kingsley throws a looping overhand right but Honcho ducks down to avoid it.

Kingsley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Honcho keeps working.
Honcho is looking to control Kingsley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Honcho avoid being mounted?
Honcho wants to get back to full guard.
Kingsley is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kingsley is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Honcho asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Honcho is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kingsley sees it coming and defends easily.
Honcho tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kingsley knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Kingsley kicks Honcho off and gets back to his feet.
Kingsley throws the left hand but Honcho avoids the punch easily.
Kingsley looks to land a right hand but Honcho moved out of range.

Honcho gets the takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kingsley is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Honcho has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Honcho throws an elbow but Kingsley slips to the side and avoids it well.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Honcho.
I think Honcho has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
