The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

douglas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. boxxer did well to prevent douglas getting side control.
douglas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but boxxer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
boxxer trying to hold on to douglas's head to control him but douglas postures up.
boxxer is looking for a sweep. douglas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
boxxer is positioning himself well to prevent douglas advancing to mount.
boxxer gets back to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now boxxer is on top in guard.
douglas looks gassed!
boxxer trying to stand up but can't free himself from douglas's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

douglas controls boxxer momentarily but boxxer frees himself.
boxxer slips nicely into half guard.
boxxer wants to take a breather but douglas is having none of it.
boxxer moves into full mount! douglas won't be happy about that!
boxxer looking to control but douglas is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
douglas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
douglas has given up his back. Will we see boxxer going for some submissions?

boxxer is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged douglas with him. douglas is trying to defend but boxxer has an arm under the chin now! douglas grimaces and is forced to tap out!
