The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golsavez throws and low kick but Jenkins moves out of range easily.
Golsavez misses with a low kick.
LeRoy Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Golsavez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jenkins cracks Golsavez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jenkins goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Jenkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Golsavez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jenkins somewhat.

Jenkins wants to stand up but Golsavez is controlling the position.

Golsavez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jenkins tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Golsavez wants to control but Jenkins is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jenkins is taking a breather. Golsavez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Jenkins decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jenkins connects with a body shot.

Jenkins sends Golsavez crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jenkins is motioning to the referee to let Golsavez up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Jenkins motions for Golsavez to come forward. Jenkins throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Jenkins pushes Golsavez up against the cage in a clinch.
Jenkins has Golsavez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Golsavez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jenkins can't get the takedown.

Jenkins tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Golsavez avoids it.

Jenkins fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Golsavez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Golsavez counters with a body kick that stops Jenkins in his tracks momentarily.
Jenkins lands a body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jenkins feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Golsavez crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
