Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mur Mur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mur Mur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bill Clay!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay tries to clinch there but Mur circles away.

Mur shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mur won't allow Clay to get back to his feet.
Mur in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mur throws a big right hand that misses.
Mur throws and elbow that misses. Clay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mur's guard. Nice move by Clay!
Clay would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Clay won't allow Mur to sweep him here.
Mur trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Mur will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Clay throws a sloppy head kick and Mur moves out of range easily.
Some wild striking there from Mur.
Mur cracks Clay with a right hand to the side of the head.
Clay tries a head kick but it misses.
Mur keeps the fight on the outside.

Clay moves into range and clinches up with Mur.

Mur breaks the clinch.
Clay uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mur.
Clay pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Clay tries to clinch but Mur is having none of it.
Mur thows a left - swing and a miss!

and Mur counters with a stiff right hand.
An inside leg kick lands from Mur.

and Mur counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mur seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mur is trying to control. Clay wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Clay has hold of Mur's hands but Mur slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Mur sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Clay defending well though.

Mur slows the pace down in half guard.
Mur throwing shots but Clay is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mur thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Clay's head.
Clay tries to get to full guard but Mur has control of the leg.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mur circles away from the clinch attempt

and Mur counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Clay!
Clay in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mur is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Clay is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Clay is trying desperately to improve position.

Mur scoring with strikes but Clay is staying in there.
Mur lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mur looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
You get the feeling that Clay really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Clay wants to hold on but Mur pushes him away.
Clay keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Clay is bucking up trying to escape but Mur cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Mur can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Clay is looking to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Clay is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mur trying to control but Clay is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mur Mur dominated that round.
That's time! Mur's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Clay throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mur's head.


It looks like Mur Mur has been cut.
Mur takes a kick to the side of the head.
Mur misses with a double jab.
Clay throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mur counters with a right hand to the body.
Mur throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mur chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clay throws a sloppy head kick
enabling Mur to counter with a crisp jab.
Mur feints and then cracks Clay's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Clay down.
Clay is breathing heavily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Mur.
Clay is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mur comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mur bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Clay's head backwards.

Clay tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mur counters with a one-two to the body.
Mur misses with a wild combination.
Mur feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Clay's calf.
Clay wants to clinch

and Mur counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mur.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mur is standing up over Clay. Clay looks to escape but Mur dives into side control.
Mur controls the position.
Mur working the ground and pound.

Mur decides to stand back up.
Bill Clay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clay has his takedown stuffed
enabling Mur to counter with a crisp jab.

Clay takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Clay throws a head kick that misses
and Mur counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mur throws a wild body kick that Clay sees coming a mile off.
Clay darts in trying to clinch
and Mur counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Clay looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Clay tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Clay takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mur on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Clay. Clay obviously looking to wear him down.
Mur throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Clay misses the shot to the body.
Mur throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mur shoots in looking for a takedown. Clay tries to sprawl out of it but Mur keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mur will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Clay throws a head kick but Mur moves out of range.
Clay pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mur defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Clay.
Clay looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mur Mur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Clay.
Mur lands with a kick to the temple. Clay shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Mur lets loose with a powerful body kick. Clay will feel that in the morning.

Mur lands with a cross.
Clay takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Clay throws a lazy head kick
and Mur counters with a straight right hand.
Mur tries to land a front kick but Clay steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Clay tries to clinch but Mur moves away
and Mur counters with a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from Clay.
Mur lands a really nice looking cross but Clay seems unphased.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Clay feints and as Mur raises his hands in defense, Clay changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mur has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Clay off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mur Mur dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Mur Mur's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


A head kick by Clay misses
and Mur counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mur throws a nice inside leg kick.
Clay tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mur is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Clay can do to turn this around?

and Mur counters with a good low kick that Clay was not able to check.
Mur Mur is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mur thows a leg kick but Clay checks it

and Clay moves into the clinch.

Mur pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mur throws the left hand but Clay avoids the punch easily.
Clay darts in trying to clinch
and Mur counters with a straight right hand.

Mur shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mur was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Clay is desperately trying to improve his position but Mur has a good base and remains in mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mur in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

BOOM! Mur connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Clay is working to get back to half guard.
Mur putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mur working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Clay bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Mur keeping moving, preventing Clay from controlling successfully.

Clay postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mur is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Clay, into his guard.
Mur postures up and lands a big shot to Clay's brow.

Clay looking for a guillotine here but Mur defends easily.
Mur with a nice head shot there.
Clay wants to stand but Mur is controlling the position.
Mur is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mur in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Clay is looking for a triangle but Mur pushes his legs off easily.
Clay looking for a sweep. Not yet Clay, not yet.

Mur is in close to Clay's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Clay is working an open guard so Mur takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Mur is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Clay clinches but Mur breaks the clinch
and Mur counters with a stiff right hand.
Mur stalks Clay and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Clay's face. Clay staggers backwards, shaken.

Clay tries to move into range but Mur moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Clay slips a straight right by Mur.

and Mur counters with a left and a right that stings Clay.
Mur Mur is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mur keeps the fight on the outside.
Clay wants to clinch but Mur slips to the side
enabling Mur to counter with a crisp jab.
Mur swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mur tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Clay was well out of range. Poor timing from Mur.
Clay buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Clay throws a nice head kick!
Clay misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mur wants to land a leg kick but Clay is out of range.
Mur waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Clay.
Bill Clay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Clay wants to clinch but Mur slips to the side
and Mur makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mur avoids the head kick by Clay.
Mur Mur is winning the standup battle so far.
Mur throws a body kick that misses.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mur Mur showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mur, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
